Get In Position
Is it a promotion? If so, stop worrying about the outcome and focus on what you can control. Be sure you are qualified, ready to take on the responsibility and willing to ask for the promotion. And remember, you are not a failure if you don’t get the promotion. You are a success for believing in yourself enough to go for it; because that is the part of the process you have control over. Is it a relationship?  If you are like me, you’ve been cheated on, lied to, deceived, betrayed and then some. [click to continue…]

December 31, 2011

Instead of going after what it is you say you are ready for and trying to force that to fit into the space you do not have– try this: Make room for it first! Be it a person, thing or experience make room for it first, then make it happen. We don’t like to do [...]

Sewn Seeds

November 26, 2011

I’m thankful for quite a bit. As a dear friend often reminds me “I am blessed and highly favored by God.” The past few days, I’ve been thinking more and more about my grandmother, Nana. Where You Are Supposed To Be

September 20, 2011

“I’m right where I’m supposed to be, thanks to where I’ve been.” Jennifer Lopez (Kohl’s commercial) Are You? Do you believe this for yourself? I’m not saying you never look back and wonder “what if.” I certainly go there from time to time. Wondering about or questioning past decisions. I could have made different choices [...]

9/11 Reflect, Remember and Celebrate the Resilience of the Human Spirit

September 11, 2011

This will be my shortest blog post ever. I wanted to be sure we found moments to celebrate our ability to conquer, press forward and grow. These children are magnificent and the faces of the firefighters brings a tear to my eye each time I watch this. It’s about 4 minutes long and your heart [...]
